Treasures of the Oriental Museum, Durham University presents fifty highlights from the museum's incredible collections.
Ranging from the famous Egyptian statuette of a girl carrying a vase to a Cambodian xylophone, featured items include a Tang Dynasty terracotta model of a polo player, a Human Skull Cup from Tibet, ornately decorated with gems and The Durham Bodhisattva, from the Kingdom of Gandhara.
Treasures of the Oriental Museum traces the history of the collections and their arrival in Durham. Each item is accompanied by an informative and lively commentary, which vividly brings each piece to life.
