Floreat Collegium

As a pioneer government-owned secondary school, King's College, Lagos occupies a unique position in the history of Nigeria. From the time of its foundation by the Colonial Office in 1909 it has been hailed as the most renowned and respected educational institution in the country – if not all of West Africa – consistently acting as an incubator for leaders, heroes and great men. In commemoration of one hundred years of excellence, and as part of an ambitious restoration project, the King's College Old Boys Association presents a history of the College as told through the words of those who know it best.
