Monmouth School

This beautifully illustrated book tells the story of Monmouth School in the run up to the 400th anniversary of its foundation. Monmouth School explores the enigmatic figure of the School's founder, William Jones, before sketching the early years of the School up to a point where, towards the end of the 19th Century, its Headmaster was invited to join the Headmasters' Conference. The story chronicles the years of the two world wars, other crises the School has had to face and, above all, the considerable achievement of pupils, past and present, both in the academic sphere and in the host of extra-curricular activities on offer.
